    Some of the other episodes are around on YouTube and some of the characters are played by people who are now more famous – the Photographer is played by Bill Nighy for example.

    Yes, this is “so fake” because it’s a BBC comedy show. People Like Us ran for two series between 1999 and 2001. The humour is based on the incompetence of the Roy Mallard character (Played by Chris Langham) and the reactions of the characters.

    The “mockumentary” style was a fore-runner to the original UK version of the Office, which ironically replaced it in the schedules.
